Prior Experience

I have had tons of experience in the surfing lifestyle and I have been around the sport for my whole life. Most of my family and friends also partake in the sport. I have been in shaping rooms and seen the process in different stages. I basically know how it is done and I know what kind of board suits me best. I have ridden a few quads, and I have always wanted to have one for New Jersey because I know what kind of a difference it makes when it comes to speed and wave count. I think this board would help to improve my free surfing as well as my contest results. I really cant think of any aspect of the project I couldn’t handle. I feel very comfortable with this project.
I would need to use my knowledge from my math and physics courses in order to get my measurements and calculations correct. I would need the experience from this years systems class as well as tech freshman year in order to use the tools in class. I also have experience with tools from home, just helping my dad with projects around the house. I would say I’m pretty well rounded in the area. When I get dings in my surfboards now my dad and I fix them and I am used to working with surfboard materials. I work in a surf shop and I am around that sort of thing all the time. Surfing is what I do outside of school and there’s no aspect of my life that doesn’t involve the sport in someway, I’m always thinking about it, and I don’t see anything that would hold me back experience wise.
